  • What is the difference between granite and quartz countertops?

Granite is a natural stone cut from quarries, while quartz countertops are engineered from natural quartz mixed with resins for added strength and consistency. Granite offers unique, one-of-a-kind patterns, while quartz provides a uniform look and higher stain resistance.
  • Do I need to seal my granite or quartz countertops?

Countertops with granite require sealing to protect against staining. At Heartland Granite & Quartz Countertops, we use a 25-year sealant. Quartz countertops are nonporous and therefore do not require sealing.
  • Do you remove and dispose of old countertops?

Yes - Heartland Granite & Quartz provides removal and disposal of your existing countertops as part of the installation process, for an additional fee. This ensures a clean, hassle-free upgrade.
  • How do I maintain and clean my countertops?

Daily cleaning with mild soap and water is usually enough for most types of countertops. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads. For granite, use a pH-neutral stone cleaner to protect the seal.
  • What edge profiles do you offer for countertops?

We offer a wide variety of custom countertops, with edge options including eased, crescent, ogee, and demi. Contact our experts at Heartland Granite & Quartz Countertops today to discuss your style vision, and we will help you find the best options for your unique needs!
  • Do you offer custom fabrication for sinks, islands, and backsplashes?

Yes. Heartland Granite & Quartz provides custom cutting, sink cutouts, waterfall edges, full-height backsplashes, and unique island shapes to match your exact specifications. Our custom countertops can be tailored to any space for a seamless fit and a sophisticated finish for your home renovation project.
  • Can you install an undermount sink with granite or quartz?

Yes, both materials support undermount sinks perfectly. During fabrication, our team creates a precise cutout for your custom countertops to provide a clean and watertight fit.
  • Will my granite or quartz countertop have seams?

Depending on the size of your project and slab dimensions, seams may be necessary to complete the layout. Heartland Granite & Quartz uses state-of-the-art technology to provide flawless seams that blend into your granite or quartz countertops for a smooth and visually continuous surface.
  • Are your countertops covered by a warranty?

Granite and quartz countertops typically include the manufacturer's warranty. We will be happy to explain our warranty details based on your chosen material, so give us a call to discuss your next project.
  • Do you offer remnants for small projects like vanities or fireplaces?

Yes, remnants are perfect for bathroom vanities, laundry rooms, hearths, and small accent pieces at a reduced cost. Using these smaller stone pieces is an excellent way to incorporate high-quality countertops into smaller spaces without the expense of a full slab.
